Rental car traffic fine - what should I do?

I had a long term rental car provided by my employer. The rental company paid a box junction penalty back in October but I didn't hear anything about until December.

They added their usual admin fee and via my employer asked me for the money. I asked for the evidence and on seeing this there is no way I would have paid without a appealing. However now the fine is paid I believe its not possible to appeal. They have effectively admitted guilt for me without checking with me or obtaining the evidence. Do I still have to re-reimburse them?

Basically yes, because it will be a condition of the rental. Then you have to take up the issue with the authority that issued the ticket using the Traffic Penalty Tribunal.
