Singing the praises of the Tesla S
You are the only motoring journalist I like (except for L J K Setright, who is unfortunately dead). You tell it how it is.
I have now done quite a few thousand miles in the new Tesla Model S.
I can't tell your readers about it though as I cant find the manufacturer in your manufacturers list!
It is great!
Just to let you know, I have continued to read reviews about this car since buying it. I have come to the conclusion that many journalists copy each other like naughty school children. They keep reprinting the same mistakes. They also seem to miss out the most important points the car offers, which are as follow
As a company purchase, it is 100% tax deductible in that financial year year! It is like buying a photocopier as far as that goes. This makes it very cheap to buy, even though the purchase price is high. The BIK tax is 0% at the moment as well(This may rise in the future though).
The Model S has one moving part in the drive train. No head gasket, no turbo, injectors, gearbox, oil, ecus etc etc etc! No dual mass flywheel, clutch or anything else ever again. Hurray!
Although Tesla like to see the car annually, the only thing to service is the windscreen wiper blade. Brakes last 250,000 miles in regular use, as you drive on one pedal. Also the alloy monocoque will never rust.
The S60 is about as quick as the S85. All factory 0-60 times are pessimistic, with the S60 getting to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds, not the quoted 5.9 seconds.
The operating system of the car is regularly upgraded by Tesla for free to provide additional features, not to fix the car. Last week I turned it of to find auto dimming headlights and active cruise control had been "added" overnight for free!
Filling it up from home costs less than £5.
I could bang on but you get the picture.

The Tesla Model S is there because I reviewed it last August and gave it 5 stars. But we have to split the car by car list to manageable proportions and to find it from the list you have to click on 'Show other Manufacturers' at the bottom. The short cut is to go to this page:
www.honestjohn.co.uk/owner-reviews/ The, under <Write Your Review>, select <Tesla> and <Model S> in the boxes/
We would be very grateful for your review. There has been some amazing news recently on YouTube, with a Model S P85D burning off a Dodge Challenger Hellcat 707HP on the dragstrip and other astonishing achievements: www.youtube.com/watch?v=kG6veF_34QE
