Bought on finance - what are my rights?

Hi, I ordered a brand new Audi A3 in April 2014, the car was delivered in early July. On delivery I realised it was missing one of the options I requested, namely Audi Park Assist. I spoke to my finance company and said I would like to reject the car as a result of this missing option. They informed me that they could get the option retrofitted by Audi, but it would take 8 weeks to order the parts. I agreed that this was a suitable alternative instead of returning the car. A number of lies later and it transpires Audi Park Assist cannot be retrofitted and has never been available to be retrofitted. Therefore I would like to reject the car, but my finance company keep saying it's not their fault and that I need to speak with the supplying dealership and Lex Autolease. I have full email evidence of everything stated and was hoping to find out what my rights are in this case?

You simultaneously reject the car to both the finance house and the supplying dealer because it was not supplied with the extra equipment you specifically ordered. They have no defence for this. And because the delay was caused by the finance house (which you can prove) they have to bear the cost of returning your deposit in full. Law here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
