Do good petrol estate cars exist?

Is it possible to get a good non-diesel family/estate car for city driving? Our family is due to increase in size imminently and our current diesel Mazda 3 isn't big enough.

My problem is that we would use the car mostly for city driving and we’ve had lots of costly issues with our diesel Mazda and it’s DPF. Any suggestions for a good family/estate car that isn’t diesel powered?
