Can you recommend a cheap family car?

We’re a family of five looking to downgrade from two cars to one. We only have £8000 to spend and - in order to keep my £155pcm work car allowance - the new car must have less than 160g/km of CO2 emissions. I’m open to an estate or crossover, but would prefer something with cruise control. What do you recommend?

Brand new Dacia Logan MCV, but I don;t think you can have it with cruise control: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/dacia/logan-mcv-2013/
