Will the Renault Megane Sport Tourer tow my 750kg boat and trailer more economically than my Laguna ST?
I currently use a Laguna Sport Tourer 1.9 diesel to tow a small yacht. The all-up weight of the boat and trailer is about 750kg. I am considering replacing the Laguna with a new Megane Sport Tourer. The salesman tells me that the 1.5-litre diesel will cope easily with the boat and be more economical. Is this likely? All Megane Sport Tourer models seem to have the same maximum towing weight.

It should do. And the weight is only 750kg, well within the car's capability.
