Replacement for an old Jeep Cherokee?
I need to replace my Jeep Cherokee 2.5td - we use as a second car mainly for our small holding.
We want a vehicle with very good fuel economy, which can pull a medium sized trailer a couple of times a month and also be in a low VED class.
I normally buy old bangers and run them into the ground as I am a competant mechanic (hence the Jeep with it's horrid VM engine - £400 and still running 18 months later!). It does 8000 miles per year.
Should I stick with my recycling old sheds or buy a new/newish economical car?
We can manage without 4WD - although it was great in the snow.

Retirement, along with other changes to my family and lifestyle, mean that I no longer need the carrying capacity - and neither do I cover the mileage - to justify my Vauxhall Zafira diesel. Time to downsize!
