Buying a used Nissan Qashqai - is the 1.6 diesel rare?
I am considering buying a two year old Nissan Qashqai (2012) from a non-franchise dealer. It is described as having the 1.6dCi engine rather than the 1.5dCi, and thus being "rare".
Could the larger engine be specified for an Acenta trim level Qashqai in 2012? I have yet to view the car, so I am unaware whether the engine size is obvious upon opening the bonnet. The car is two-wheel drive.

The answer is yes. Road Test here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/nissan/nissan-qash.../
You can check by popping the bonnet and seeing if the engine is belt cam (1.5DCi) or chain cam (1.6DCI 130). Also the turbo of the 1.6DCI is bolted directly to the head because the exhaust manifold is incorporated into the head.
