Which would you select from the Audi A3 2.0 TDI, Volvo C30 2.0d and Volkswagen 2.0 TDI GT?

I am looking at buying a used car for £10,000-£11.500. My criteria is that the fuel economy is fairly good, it is comfortable (due to longish journeys for work), it has three doors and that it has a little bit of power so that I can get some driving enjoyment out of the car. I like the Audi A3 2.0 TDI, Volvo C30 2.0d and Volkswagen 2.0 TDI GT. What would you recommend that I look at, and what is your opinion of the three cars that I have mentioned?

We think the Golf 2.0 TDI GT should fit your requirements perfectly and is probably our choice out of those three. The C30 is comfortable but not as good to drive and the A3 is pretty much the same as the Golf, but you won't get as much for your money. Another you may want to consider is the Honda Civic 2.2 i-CDTi which comes as a three-door (called Type-S) and looks very sporty.

Really good looking coupe, on theme of 1800ES and 480. Best with 2.5 turbo engine and 17-inch wheels. Outstanding handling. 2.0D Powershift auto works well.
