Buying a new SUV - which model should I get?

I am looking to buy a new SUV. I've looked at the Kia Sportage and Nissan Qashqai, but can't make up my mind. I need a petrol as I do 7000 a year - what do you recommend?

Latest Qashqai has Renault's excellent 120TCe petrol engine and handles better. I think better than KIA's Sportage 1.6GDI, but personally prefer the looks of the Sportage.

Stylish and upmarket looks. Good quality feel to the interior. Seven-year warranty as standard. Very low CO2 for an SUV. Well equipped.
Comfortable to drive with a robust interior, good engines, popularity means lots of choice on the used market.
