Why has delivery of my Hyundai Santa Fe been delayed?

I ordered a Hyundai Sante Fe on 19/02/2010 and was given a delivery date of 8 to 12 weeks. The dealer says it is a manufacturing issue and they can't give me a precise delivery date as Hyundai won't give them one. I phoned Hyundai on 10/06 and they promised to get back to me within a day with delivery details. I phoned Hyundai again this morning (14/06) and they have no knowledge of the previous call. I phoned another dealer pretending to be new customer and was quoted an 8- to 12-week delivery. Hyundai appear to be operating under false pretences and, as for customer service, they don't seem to give a damn. I have put my old car in as part-ex and it has been sold so I have had to insist on the dealer giving me a courtesy car. Any help would be most gratefully received.

Remember these cars are very popular because they are best value in the class, and also they have to be shipped all the way from South Korea. You may find that the identical-under-the-skin KIA Sorento is more readily available.
