New car for retirement - please recommend

I am retiring in 6 weeks.

I want a vehicle to transport wife, grandchildren, dogs and lots of luggage on holiday.

I may also want to tow a small caravan.

I have been looking at a Berlingo and a Dacia Duster.

Which would be the better of the two or is there something else you would recommend?

Petrol or Diesel? Purchase price and running costs are a factors.

A Berlingo Multispace will carry more and be more versatile, but is more expensive. An alternative is a Dacia Logan MCV: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/dacia/logan-mcv-2013/
