Thanks for your help with our mis-built Volkswagen Golf SE
Regarding our mis-built Volkswagen Golf VII, I wanted to advise you that Volkswagen UK contacted me within a few days of sending the letter to their MD. The MD appointed a member of his executive team to investigate the case and Volkswagen UK found in our favour. They have provided me and my wife with a replacement car (full UK spec) which is due to arrive in early November, and our finance plan on the new car will be a continuation of the existing policy but with only 2.5 years left to pay, which is a result. The team at VW UK have been brilliant and I sent a 'thank you' letter to them. The dealership, however, failed to even acknowledge our letter so I know where I won't be buying a car in the future. Thanks for your help.

This concerned a Golf SE that was missing some ‘SE’ features. It's interesting because in a number of recent cases the problem has been found to be with the dealer. All Volkswagen franchises are independent, but Volkswagen has now reformed its Customer Care operation and dealers are under review.
