Should we buy another Honda Jazz or look at the Ford Fiesta 1.25?
My wife’s Chinese-built Honda Jazz 1.2 is now five and a half years old and is approaching 50,000 miles. She drives around 8000 miles a year, including a fortnightly motorway round trip of 180 miles. We have been pleased with the Jazz but feel we now need to consider a replacement, as reliability is a high priority (much of the travel involves grandchildren and ageing parents). We are considering another Jazz, but a 1.4 engine, or a Ford Fiesta 1.25 which we also like. What would you recommend and are there other cars that should be on our list?

There will be a new Jazz next year, and some confusing photos had emerged. Most show a Jazz that looks like the current one re-worked. Another showed a radical new car with styling similar to the Civic, but that turned out to be speculative. Meanwhile, you should check out the Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost, Ford B-Max, Hyundai ix20 and KIA Venga.
