Please advise your readers to ensure that their head restraints are correctly positioned.

Regarding the email headed ''Restraining Order'', I am careful to set the head restraint height on any vehicle I travel in. I have been hit hard twice from behind. My vehicle was written off on both occasions, but my neck was fine on both occasions. I have tested numerous cars and have always set the head restraint height myself, as the sales staff never bothered to do this either for themselves, or the potential buyer. Injuries due to incorrectly positioned head restraints can also be a burden upon the NHS. Monitoring by the police, along with routine tax disc checks, may help (a friendly piece of advice to start with, penalties later if necessary).
