WIll my wife be penalised on her insurance after attending a speed awareness course?
A few weeks ago my partner was driving around the outskirts of Hull when she was flashed doing 35mph (so the ticket said) in a 30mph limit. She has opted to take a speed awareness course to save points. When asking for a new insurance quote at next year's renewal date I believe you have said in the past that this speeding 'offence' does not have to be declared. Can you confirm this, please?

Admiral has very stupidly come out and said it will penalise drivers who take a speed awareness course. My response to that is if you are with Admiral and your renewal quote comes in, check what the premium will be with the declared SAC and then shop around and see if you can beat Admiral's quote. If you can, offer Admiral the chance to beat the quote you have obtained. Do not meekly accept its punishment for doing a course that makes you a safer driver.
