Car doesn't seem to pull as well as it normally does
We have a 2011 Ford Focus TDCi and recently had the clutch replaced under warranty. I have taken the car back to them regarding the refit and they assured me all is well; however, since getting the car back, I have noticed the power delivery is a lot smoother, but the overall power is limited. I feel like I have to push the throttle further in order to gain more power from the engine. Can you explain what's going on?

It will have been remapped to the latest spec as a matter of course, as all Ford cars are whenever they are in a Ford dealer, so that's the difference you are feeling.
Remapping to put less torque through the drivetrain in 1st and 2nd is how Ford managed to dispense with DMFs in Fiesta 1.6 diesels. But I checked and Focus 1.6 diesels still have DMFs. I had this same engine and transmission in a heavier Mazda 5 for a year and has no trouble.
