Fined for not parking within the marked bays - do I have to pay?
I parked in a free car park that states you must park within the bays. The bays were full so I parked where I was not obstructing and where it was not illegal to park. I have now been fined £60, do I have to pay?

Yes, they can, however unreasonable this may seem to a normal person, because the government has given them the right to do this and to get your details from the DVLA. More here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/private-parking-penalties/
