Reparing seawater damage

My car was left in the Port of Dover’s official car-park during a recent storm. Unlike other cars in the same car-park, which suffered major wave damage, my vehicle only appears to have suffered salt water contamination, visible on the brake discs and calipers etc. My insurance company is having the vehicle examined by one of its approved repairers. What should I be aware of to ensure the vehicle is returned to its original condition?

If it wasn't submerged, all it may need is a very thorough wash, underneath as well as on top, then re-waxing.
