Our Mitsubishi Grandis is suffering a recurring wiring fault - should Mitsubishi replace the car under warranty?

I have a 2007 Mitsubishi Grandis still under warranty. The car developed a wiring loom fault and, after several abortive attempts to replace it (wrong type sent from Japan twice), we finally got our car back five months later (I'll spare you the detailed saga). 24 hours later the original fault appears to have returned (did it ever go away?). I now need to return it but at what point is a manufacturer in breach of their warranty obligations and have to replace the car with something similar? I can't believe we are exposed to an indefinite period?

Is it a manufacturer warranty? If so, we'd demand that someone from Mitsubishi UK comes out to look at the vehicle at the dealership. If the dealer can't fix it, then it's time to bring in some specialist help. You probably need to give them one more chance to rectify it, before taking it further.
