Buying a Honda Jazz - which model is best?

I have a 2002 Honda Jazz which I want to replace with a newer model. Other things being equal, would I be better with one of the last of the old design or one of the first of the new design? I'm only interested in 1.4 manual.

The new design is the more attractive of the two. Engines, the 1.4 VVTI is much better than the 1.4 IDSI.

Neatly styled. Increased room and better performance than original Jazz. better to drive. Very versatile. CVT-7 returned in February 2011 replacing i-SHIFT. More reliable than first generation Jazz.
