Buying a nearly new car - which would you recommend?

I want to buy a one year old (or newer) car. I have up to £15,000 to spend and want a decent specification for my money. I have short listed the Mazda 3 2.2 diesel sport, Ford Focus 1.6 EcoBoost Titanium, SEAT Leon 1.4 TSI and Citroen DS4 2.0d style. Any idea what is the best way to go?

Forget the DS4. A lemon if ever there was one. DS3s are brilliant, but DS4s and DS5s are no go areas. The 2.2d isn't the best engine in the old Mazda 3 and the SEAT VAG TSIs have timing chain problems. Your best bet here is the Ford Focus. Check them all out in www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar
