Dealer is refusing to honour car's warranty - what can I do?
I bought a used Land Rover Discovery 3 for £9000 recently. The advert stated that warranty covered the clutch and other components of the car, which was one of the main factors in my buying it. A few weeks ago the car’s clutch failed, but the dealer is refusing to pay. Instead, the dealer claims I have ridden the clutch and damaged it myself, which I strongly refute.
I have checked the paperwork, but cannot faun any evidence of the warranty; however, I have a copy of the advert. Who’s liable for the repairs, me or the dealer?

If you have an advertisement stating that the clutch is warranted and bought the car on that basis then you can sue the dealer for the cost of replacement using the small claims track, starting with www.moneyclaim.gov.uk Law here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
