Engine fault light on Discovery 3 - what's the fault?
The engine system fault light keeps flashing on my 2009 Land Rover Discovery 3. I have spent hundreds of pounds at the main dealer (fuel filter suspected and changed but no improvement) and have had it diagnostically checked several times, but there has been no improvement. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Sounds like a clogging diesel particulate filter from too many short runs from cold starts that did not allow the DPF to burn off the soot it had accumulated.
