Uncomfortable seats. What can I do to improve?

I bought a Jaguar XF in April 2012 from Stratstones with 17k on the clock. After about 3 months I started to have severe pains in my lower back at the top of the buttocks. There appears to be a bar at the back of the seat causing the problem. I have fully adjusted the lumbar support, but the only way I can get SOME comfort is by using a bought lumbar support. Even then I am uncomfortable.

I have taken it back to Stratstones who say there is nothing wrong with the seat. I notice on the new XFs that they have made a few changes

I don't want to change the car as it is beautiful to drive. I have thought of having the seat re upholstered or just to buy some foam rubber to sit on.

This seems to affect a very few people with Mondeos as well. But very few. Can't think of an answer except perhaps a different adjustment of the seat. The ergonomics expert Dr Mark Porter recommend a semi reclining position to spread the weight of the back into the backrest rather than concentrate it on the base of the spine, so that might solve your problem.
