Vectra juddering severely

Today my 2006 Vectra starting juddering and lost power when accelerating from 30mph to 50mph on a dual carriageway. I managed to get it to 60mph and it juddered and lost power. Finally it was stable at 50mph but didn't like 5th gear, going up a hill it struggled and would not go above 20mph until on even road.

There wass no buring smell. The engine warning light came on and when starting it again it judders, even without moving it. It's done 77k miles and I've had it five months, ex company car. Checked the oil and water, all ok.

Either seizing because of an oil problem or because overheating.

Far better than previous Vectra. Now with decent handling and an excellent ride. Plenty of safety kit. Roomy in the front. Big boot. Good looks.
