Broken lock - how do I fix it?

The lock has stopped working on my Citroen Picasso; it is jammed in the locked position, which means I cannot open the boot. I can source a new lock, but have no idea how to replace it. Any ideas?

It's a fairly regular problem. Ask around locally to try to find someone who specialises in Peugeots and Citroens as they will be the best people to fix this issue.
