Admitting an accident that was not claimed for?

I have just received my insurance renewal and am being asked to state any accident not claimed for. A car bumped me from behind, damaging only the bumper. He paid the complete respray bill. Is it a legal requirement for me to report this and if I do will it affect my insurance?

Report it, but stress that this was a no claim bump. He did not claim. You did not claim.
