I can't pair my iPhone with my Skoda hands-free kit - can you help?

I have been having trouble getting the Bluetooth hands-free kit on my Skoda to accept my iPhone. Skoda confirmed that it wasn't compatible. I wasn't happy and persevered, speaking to a chap who rang as a result of my email to Skoda and who put me in touch with a local dealership. In spite of what I'd been told, I was emailed a set of instructions, soon to be on the Skoda website, I'm told, which sorted the problem and paired my iPhone no problem.

Last year another reader managed to get his Golf Mk VI “Premium Bluetooth” kit updated by an independent using a Skoda phone prep kit. The VAG/Skoda part number is 1Z0035729C. It is identical to the old interface and accepts the same plugs. On the central screen of the car it reads SKODA BT. The hands-free works perfectly with all relevant lists showing, such as Phone Book and Missed, Received and Sent calls. The part itself can be obtained from SatNav Systems in London (www.satnavsystems.com) and the total cost of obtaining and fitting in one reader’s case was £569.25
