Should I replace my Honda Civic with a Jazz?
I have a 2004 1.6 Honda Civic manual which I've owned from new. It has only just passed 31,000 miles. My local Honda dealer has always serviced the car. To date, it's performed without any problems and all I have needed to do is change the tyres.
In view of its age would it be a good idea to sell now and if so how much might I expect in either part exchange or private sale. I like the look of the new Jazz and would like an automatic. What are your thoughts on the Jazz?

You have a good car that probably needs a new timing belt, but, once that is fitted, it should continue to give reliable service. It's worth about £2250 trade. The tsunami in Japan followed by the devastating flooding in Thailand, to which Honda transferred a lot of production, has made it very difficult for Honda to supply new cars. Honda factories in Thailand will not be back into full production until April so it will be better to wait until things are back to normal before contemplating a switch.
