Why was LV Insurance uninterested in processing our accident claim properly?
Every week you manage to puff LV car insurance. This grates in our household because LV is quite the worst and most unhelpful insurer we have ever had dealings with. A year ago my wife was involved in an accident that resulted in her car being written off. The accident was reported immediately by telephone. In a later call, it became clear that LV did not require written details of the claim and intended to proceed on the basis of oral submissions. As the circumstances of the accident were complicated and clearly not understood by LV’s operative, we sent documentation including photographs of skid marks. We never received a reply or even an acknowledgement of this letter or our reminders. To cap it all, LV refused to quote for the equivalent car we obtained as a replacement and, apart from a cheque for the wreck, we never heard from them again

I don't "puff" LV. Every day I get at least one reader letter telling me of a good experience with them. It's not 100 per cent. Like you, there have been one or two with a different story. But LV comes out far and away the best car insurer in my reader mailbag.
