Why don't you recommend the Nissan Note Acenta?
The Nissan Note Acenta meets your criteria in many ways, yet does not get mentioned where it seems to be a good option. UK-built with a good reliability record, excellent cabin space and access, 65-profile tyres (185/65R15 88T), chain driven cam, DIY replaceable headlight bulbs and well proven torque-convertor automatic transmission, if required. full spec for class. I have no connection with Nissan, just a satisfied Note Acenta owner, with a set of winter tyres on steel wheels to go on soon.

It used to be, and still is as a used buy, but it is now nearing the end of production and is not as good at the Jazz, Venga and ix20.
