Where can I get a Collision Damage Waiver for a hire car in New Zealand?
My wife and I will be hiring a car for thirty days in New Zealand next February. Please can you inform me of reputable insurers who provide a Collision Damage Waiver for a reasonable sum?

I recommend www.insurance4carhire.co.uk.
The downside is that if you don't take the car rental company's commission-hungry CDW, the rental company is more likely to find damage on your car when you return it. You are then directly liable unless your insurer picks up the tab.
