Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi (2004) will not start - can you help?
I have just driven 60 miles in my Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi 04, stopped for 20 minutes and then gone to restart car with no luck.
The engine turns over happliy but not firing at all. I have checked all the fuses (ECU and engine related) and all seem OK.
I tried disconnecting the battery to restart the ECU and still no luck. It appears to be fuel starvation. No obvious fuel leaks but didnt have a full inspection of filter or lines. Any ideas? is there a 5bar pump in this engine? any case history of pump failure. Air in the lines (Seems a bit random).

Well we would suggest that you check all fuel lines/pipes and filter also check the air intake/filter system for any blockage.
If all okay then it may be the best procedure to carry out a diagnostic check and see if you get a fault code showing.IE P ---- 4 numbers.
It could be the CKP ( crankshaft position sensor) or the ECT ( engine coolant temp sensor) .Also possible is the FRP ( fuel rail pressure sensor)or the Fuel pressure regulator control solenoid.
EGR (exhaust gas recycling) valve sticking is another possibility
hence the diagnostic check in the first instance.
