Sticky back brakes on a Polo?

My 57 reg. Volkswagen Polo has sticky back breaks. When I wash the car I cover the back wheels with bin bags to keep them dry as I think it maybe dampness causing problems with the disk, do you have any ideas?

No previous reports of this: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/volkswagen/polo-iv-2...d Are you sure it has rear disc brakes, not drums? If discs, the fault is likely to be dirty or corroded calliper pins. If drums, a sticking wheel cylinder.
