What's the cause if a brake imbalance?
My Corsa has just failed its MOT because of a 'strong imbalance' between the L and R rear brakes. Apparently this could either be a distribution valve, or possibly the Master Cylinder.
I was surprised to be told that the Master cylinder could be the cause of the L R imbalance, as I thought that it supplied hydraulic fluid to the entire system, the balance and distribution being undertaken by proportioning valves? Do you have any advice on this, and does their diagnosis seem reasonable?

I think it's more likely to be a problem with an individual wheel cylinder than with the front/rear balancer valve.
