Matiz brake problems - what are my rights?

In Nov 2012, my Matiz was recalled for a brake fluid change. I have persistent brake problems which my local garage thinks is related to the original brake fluid. How do I resolve this issue, please?

It's 6 years old so I don't think you have any remaining rights.
