Burning smell in my Avensis

My 2010 Toyota avensis D-Cat Auto has developed a periodic burning smell in the cabin. Turning down the the temperature and having the fan on full clears it.

The dealer has had the car but the problem persists.

Thde smell in occuring more often.

It's probably the diesel particulate filter regenerating and the heat from that somehow getting into the car. The DPF is located between the engine and the bulkhead.
