Warranty small print
Just bought 2009 Freelander 2. On going through small print of 1 year approved warranty I will only be covered for trip limit of 60 days, as I am usually away for longer than this the warranty is of little use. The dealer did not point out this time limit to me. The 1 year breakdown cover is limited to a 31 day trip in that year, again not suitable for me. I specifically asked if I had to pay for repairs in the event of breakdown or accident abroad, then reclaim the money. I was told this was not the case and the repair would be paid for directly. This is not so - the cost is borne by me then will be reimbursed on return to the UK. The warranty booklet and breakdown handbook arrived by post after I had collected the car so I was unable to read this beforehand. What is my legal situation?

Reject the warranty, demand your money back for the warranty, then buy it elsewhere.
