Just inherited a Polo that's sat in a garage for five years - what do I need to do?
I've just inherited a 2003 Polo, petrol engine, which was driven by my elderly aunt on very short journeys before she died in 2005.
Following a long probate case I have finally inherited said Polo which has sat unused in a garage for 5 years. In essence I am wondering what I need to do to get it going again and what, if any, long term issues may crop up with the car sitting unused for so long.

Flatspotted tyres, rusted brake discs, rusted brake pipes, condensation damage to engine and transmission and exhaust system, flat battery, stale fuel. Could actually cost more to recommission than it is worth.
