Buying pre-registered - does time since manufacture matter?

I'm being offered one of the last 2012 model CR-V Hondas at £24k with delivery miles only and pre-registered. It is an auto ES-T which would have been listed around £29k when new. The price sounds good but it must have been sitting around for at least 6 months now. Is that an issue? If it is, should I pay an extra £3k or so, do without leather seats, and buy a brand new Mazda CX-5 instead?

I don't think it's worth that much now that the new model is here. Maybe £22k.
