How can I maintain my insurance, NCB, etc., after disposing of my car? I am a named driver on my wife's insurance policy

You get to keep it for 2 years to transfer to another policy, then you lose it. Might make sense to alternate with your wife as the 'insured' every year so you both keep your entitlement. Ask your insurance broker.
