Problems buying an import Civic?

I am thinking of buying a new Honda Civic 1.4 import with SE+ spec. Any obvious problems other than no spare wheel provided. Can this problem be solved in some way?

Probably only a 2 year warranty. 1.4 engine weak for the car. Needs the 1.8 with which it will still do 48mpg.
