Winter tyres: Your advice versus my Insurer's advice?
I'm fitting winter tyres to my front-wheel drive Roomster. Both the tyre dealer and my insurer (the latter checked with their technical dept) said front wheel tyres only were needed. The tyre dealer tried to talk me out of getting all four, which is noble of him, while the insurer just said they would note the change on my file.
Your previous answers to other queries have worried me so much that I'm fitting four anyway. You must be right, but why would the dealer and insurer have been ok about two tyres only?

Absolutely not. Never ever fit winter tyres to just one end of a car. Leads to severe instability, particularly when descending snowy inclines.
