Where can I buy an outside temperature gauge ?

I am looking for one that is connectable to the car battery system not one with its own battery. I bought one made in China and it was meant to run of the car system but only the backlight does and the temp is run on its own tiny battery and that failed after two weeks. Just looking for something cheap and reliable.
