Taking my car on holiday in France with its sat nav
Can't take my Nissan on holiday to France!
My 2011 Qashqai has built in satnav and speed camera locations. Possession of such equipment is illegal in France. Nissan tells me they are currently unable to provide an update and suggested I ask the French government for advice. The alternative seems to be for a dealer to permanently disconnect the entire system, including the radio, CD, USB & phone.

You simply disable the POI function. You may find that it is pre-set to disable in France anyway.
