Should I buy my company Focus 1.6 TDCI?
My Ford focus Zetec 1.6 TDCI 110 (DPF) (2008, 58 plate, 47500 miles) company car is at the end of its lease. It has been faultless so far and I can buy it for £6900.
However, I have read about turbo failures and DPF issues so I am concerned about picking up a big bill in the 2 or 3 years I'm likely to keep the car. How likely are such failures? Should I be concerned or should I return the car and consider something else, a 2009 petrol Focus for around the same price maybe?

Failures were very common on the pre-facelift Focus. I'm not hearing of them yet on the facelift model. But this is anyway expensive for a 4 year old car, very nearly full retail price. I'd check what you could get for the same sort of money from www.cargiant.co.uk
