Insurance for two cars while selling?
My friend currently has a five and a half year old Fiat Panda which is for sale. The friend has also just bought a new Ford Fiesta. The complimentry insurance on the new car is drawing to a close and the new car will need insuring alongside the Panda. Both cars are registered in my friend's name.
The friend is currently the sole driver of the Panda but the friend and partner will need to be covered to drive the Fiesta. She would also like her 21 year old son to be able to drive the new car when he is home from university.
Can you advise on insurers and how to go about getting the best all round deal please? Is there a better way round which should be classed as the first or second car that will make a difference?

Both cars have to be continuously insured or put on a SORN and kept off the road. Various insurers offer temporary insurance. Might make sense to consider a Multicar policy from www.primoplc.com, Aviva, Admiral or Direct Line.
