Is this fuel economy normal
I bought a 2006 Mondeo TDCI. It's running perfectly and has just had a major service. I'm only achieving just over 120 miles per 1/4 tank and thats on motorway doing 70-80 mph in 6th gear. Trip computer only gives 533 mile left on a full tank of diesel when I filled up. Is there something wrong or is this mpg right? Any advice will be much appreciated.

Work out what the mpg is, then compare it to what everyone else is getting at www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/ If substantially less, then you probably have dirty injectors and/or a clogged air filter. Replace the air filter, put some fuel system cleaner in the tank and fill up with Shell V-Power diesel. Hopefully, that will sort it out. If it doesn't, then the car may require some work.

I have just bought a 2003 Mondeo 1.8 LX. Nice car, but what should the mpg be? It is averaging 26-28mpg and I can't get it above 30mpg even on a motorway run.
