Best large family car?

I'm look for a large family car, my current selection includes:

Mazda 6 1.8 TS,
Mondeo IV 1.6 Ecoboost Zetec or
Toyota Avensis TR 1.8 v-matic estate (don't like the saloon!).

1 year old or less are looking like £14K for Mondeo & Avensis.
I can get a pre reg Mazda for £13K.

Will keep the car for many years (probably more than 6 years). Which would you recommend?

The Avensis or the Mondeo. The Avensis is chain cam and smooth, but the Mondeo has more guts. I'd expect similar mpg: 40 - 45.
